Best thing Prince has ever done. Forgeting the crap that is infecting these boards at the moment....(don't bother posting if you can't).
In your opinion what's the best thing Price has ever done that sticks in your mind when you think about him or hear on of his tracks. For me its the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame guitar solo in While My Guitar Gently Weeps. He was just on fire....completely owned that performance. I would have loved to see that live.

I could gently weep over not having heard that....
And to answer your question...Delerious is all that comes to mind, because, I fell in love in 1979. It's all a purple blurr to me. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

I second that..and shall add ...best thing when he decided to become a PROFESSIONAL musican. And then over the years evolve his craft to become a master of it. I liked also that Prince kept his music "princey". U can always tell a song is a Prince song from the begining like you tell a number is a Stevie Wonder song from the begining..they have the same vibe, funk, character. He wasent all over the place..and even when he dipped into other genres like :funk, jazz, pop, rock and roll, r&b etc. he didnt forget to put his signature on it. I think that was a great decision(s) that has kept him going. And lets not forget changing his wardrobe/style so many times..it gave us something to look forward to. "London do you feel for me what I feel for you"- yes Prince - "Can I play my guitar now?" - yes please

The best album Prince ever created was the original 3LP Crystal Ball that was never released by Warner Brothers. This seems to be a huge sticking point for Prince, because the first thing he did when he became free was release a 3LP album, called Emancipation. Unfortunately by that time, Prince's creative powers had already disappeared. Life is filled with cruel unpredictable luck & irony, because there is no true God. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

That he's still here and making music. Whether we like the current output or not, the fact that he's still in the game at all speaks big time to me. I'm looking forward to 2008. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

The O2 shows and aftershows in London this Summer. You can never tell how good a performer is until you've heard and seen them live.
And now I can tell: he wasn't good he was fantastic!

Never got him self involved in ALOCHOL and DRUGS. Stayed as far away from the media as possible. Love the private side of Prince. I could go on and on about the best things about Prince and most importantly he has given me the best music in my lifetime

the 2002 Xenophobia celebration is the pinnacle of all things Prince, honestly.
too bad he pissed all that goodwill away. you knew he would though. honestly, i'm surprised it took this long. back in 2004, after the R&RHOF, the Grammys, a successful album and tour.... i thought for sure he was chomping at the bit to do something to piss it all away. it took 3 and a half years! imagine my shock! I thought b/c he had a bad trip with ecstasy the Black Album didnt release on time? Did'nt workers at Pasiley Park confirm that? But he didnt take a trip so bad a downward that it ruined his life. He probably experimented with the lighter stuff...and I dont ever think he was a drinker. U want to know the secreat of love and happiness? Love GOD with all your heart, mind soul and strength. The cheeky grin and the 'oh-so-cool' move during the middle of Let's Go Crazy. And, umm, not sound like everyone else (not all of the time I know). Let's face it, as much as we sometimes get pissed off by him we all know we love him completely and he really is one hell of a fucking genius. God made him to play for us and by fuck he plays well
