here's a thing i just do not understand

this site, along with others is reported, by the people running the site, to have been threatened with legal actions, fines and imprisonment

the guy running this site - ben - has along with others started a protest publicly to denounce prince's actions through his people
- pfu

there are people still on prince.org defending to the hilt the actions of prince and his people, and complaining about the furore at pfu

why are you still here?

it is hypocrisy beyond belief to on the one hand support prince's actions as reported by the pfu and yet still to come here, use the board and effectively use the goodwill of ben and the others who are the ones who feel threatened and felt the need to protest

Many of us longtimers -- who, like I, have been around since the Org's early, black-and-purple days -- come for the relationships we've established and to engage in some discussions.

And, further still, many of us come to the Prince forum least of all the forums, unless Prince has done something unthinkable like diss his fans. Then we might come in here a bit to vent and then return to our other, preferred forums.

Personally, I think it is totally hypocritical for self proclaimed fams to use the very service they are siding against.

In my opinion they are morally weak and walking contradictions of themselves.

Besides, let face it, they only come here now because their purple priest shut down the playgorund on the official site.

They are users of others, but try to hide that fact by often attacking other people in the name of love/P/God (delete where applicable). Some of them are seriously worrying (for Pr**ce particularly).

i totally subscribe to the freedom of speech angle - indeed i applaud the org for taking the moral highground and not trying to stifle criticism - i would be equally hacked off with the org if they took steps to silence their own (internal) critics

i find it weird though that people so against the org owner and what seem to be genuinely-held concerns continue to use the site seemingly untroubled by the hypocrisy

by the way i usually lurk and have done for a loooong time - as have others - not all people post!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and their own truth...

We are not all the same Life (& the Org) would be boring if we all felt exactly the same.

I do find it dissapointing however, that WE people who share an above average respect for The music created by The Son of a King do not appear to be at least willing2 suspend the snobery until we knew what was actually going on with these Fansites.

I think it's like a bad car wreck, you don't want to look but you just have to. Things change almost everyday and I like to stay informed. why are you still here? Why is the site still here?
