So, imagine you logged onto 3121.com tomorrow and... You saw a link to a brand new, unheard album of say 12 songs which you could download for 15 US dollars (downloadable no matter where you are in the World in your own currency's equivalent). You immediately rush over to the Org, only to see that those who'd already downloaded it before you, from the fam to the cynic, were saying that it was about time Prince came up with something as funky/rocky/soulful/jazzy/acoustic/innovative* as this new download.
As you click on the link, the site asks you whether or not you wish to carry on with the download. If you choose not to download, then you are taken to a page where you can send Prince a message that he's guaranteed to read, telling him why you've chosen not to download this new album. If you choose to download it, you can only do so after you've sent a message explaining your stance on his current legal threats and the reasons why you're happy to download this new album whether you agree with the threats or not. Again, Prince is guaranteed to read your post. This is just a bit of fun presented without prejudice to anybody's views either way on Prince's current stance. Also, I think it'll be interesting to see how other Orgers will respond to this. Now personally, of course I'd bloody download the album. That said, my message to him would be telling him what an arse I think he is for what he's doing at the minute. But I suppose, just like I often disapprove of things my partner says or things he sometimes does (and believe me, we fall out big-time over some things), it doesn't mean I don't love him and we get over everything in the end. Again, this is just a bit of fun. *delete where applicable.

I wouldn't download it and do what I could to get it through other means. In the message to Prince I'd tell him a fan for 28 years is no longer interested in supporting him, plus a lot of other stuff that could be used as ammunition in the lawsuit
I could give a shit less if he released a masterpiece today. Not. interested. 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I would chose not to download his music until it was offered for free, as a symbol of thanks for the continued support from his fans, and I would gladly tell him so.
After I downloaded the free music, I would give my $$ to his charity, as a symbol of my support of him and his work.

I´d forgive him everything if he released something really brilliant right now, because that´s so rare these days

Actually, I would probably download it twice...I'm in London and what with the value of the £ and all.. "I know that living with u baby, was sometimes hard...but I'm willing 2 give it another try.
Cause nothing compares....nothing compares 2 u!"

Why the hell would you wait for a free download as some type of Ghandiesque type protest and then turn around and give him the money? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I said his charity not Prince himself....at least I hope he doesn't spend monies given to the charity he started. If he made a gesture of appreciation to his fans now, I would reciprocate.
