"I ain't going anywhere" thread

(This is just my personal opinion, I have already put this on another thread but wanted to see who else feels the same)

I still listen to Prince everyday, I'm not really fazed by this whole fiasco at all. I'm not burying my head in the sand and I'm not one of the 'crazies' who see him as Godlike or that he can't do any wrong...I know he's a nut! And every so often he has some kind of legal battle or hits the headlines for various reasons. Its not going to make me throw my toys out the pram and boycott his music. I just let it be because it will blow over eventually.

It was only a matter of mere weeks ago that the majority of folks on here were singing the mans praises for being so good to his fans. I don't think that:

Selling concert tickets for £31.21 (a very reasonable price when you look at other major stars prices);
Giving away your latest album for free with a very accessable (in the UK) paper;
and giving away a copy of a concert movie DVD with another paper

...are the actions of someone who "hates his fans". Like I said, I know he isn't perfect but I don't feel strongly upsetted by the latest action.
Sounds like a real man to me...mind if I turn on the radio?

Ya know, I ain't going anywhere also...but he needs to know what he's doing is flat WRONG.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I feel some what the same as you do. I didn't get too much involved in the number of discussions about the fiasco cuz frankly I didn't care.. I didn't care if Prince hated us /fans or not.. I just been listening to him for so long that the whole thing didn't spark any anger. Also I've always thought Prince acted kinda funny or strange towards people there for I wasn't shocked nor surprised by the whole thing. I'm still gonna continue to listen to his music like I have been for years and years now.
Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

I'm so glad you think so! I thought I was the odd one out for not feeling shocked or upset thumbs up!

I'm not leaving because I'm no longer a fan(see my thread) I love his music and the shows at the O2 esp the aftershows were amazing. I'm leaving as I just don't want to discuss his personal life as much as others(no offence just not what I want to do) I think a few others that are leaving aren't giving up being fans either but simply leaving the Org.

Me too. It's only about the music.. That's the only reason why I came here in the first place. Some folks or so called fans are highly obessessed or infacuated with him more so than his music.
