do i really need to hear others' opinions on the latest album,tour or personal life? no.i don't.i've been a long time fan b4 joining a fansite and will continue if it no longer exists. do i think he treating his supporters' badly? from my perspective, not really.freedom of speech is good in my book,but there seems to be a line that has been crossed by a few here lately that has become disrepectful and positivly venomous. maybe this is why this situation has come around. all i can say is,if you don't like his actions and no longer want to support his music.just walk away,it's that simple. I agree, too many rumors, personal insults, remarks and questions about his personal life, relationships, artists he's been associated with, and comments about friends of his have been pretty rampant on here. I think people forget there are young fans of his music under 18 that see some of those remarks on sites like these, when they search for info about his music only to find many derogatory remarks made about him on fan sites supposedly dedicated to him. I think that should be taken into consideration when people post on sites that honor artists. It's a public forum and outside sources pick up false info and rumors from many of these fansites dedicated to artists and can actually print that false information from them, and that's how rumors begin. I know many won't agree with what I've said, but that's ok, you're entitled to your opinions as you have that right, but if you are a fan of an artist, especially a legendary artist like Prince, who is an icon in the music industry, why would you post derogatory info, insults and pry into his personal life? It's no secret really to any supporters of his music that he always liked to keep his private life private, regardless if he chose to be a musician and in the limelight. Doesn't mean fans have the right to pry into his private life or try to defame him. I stand by Prince and his right to protect his music and privacy, he's much too important an icon in the world of music for me to disrespect his wishes.
