It's not like he needs YOU. That's not the way the public feels today. There was a time they you bought music because you liked it. Now, with all the alternative ways to acquire music, many only buy those they like. The fan-artist relationship is even more important these days.
What Prince is doing isn't altogether wrong. It's how he's doing it. He obviously doesn't understand how this is translating and that's kind of sad. I don't think his intentions are wrong but his actions are coming off as very wrong. The Writers Guild may strike soon. Many of these will, no doubt. be concerned with profiting from their writing, that's all over YouTube and the web, but it will make sense coming from them, they're not celebrities. If Prince set up a foundation to protect the interest of writers, musicians etc...then it might not look so selfish. He can then, let them communicate the intent because he's not doing such a good job at it. Why do you like playing around with my narrow scope of reality? - Stupify | |

The difference between Oprah and Prince, is that she has no issues apologizing after she realizes she's in the wrong on something. She ain't perfect, but compared to Prince's douchebaggery, she's a saint. | |
