I've been away for awhile, so forgive me if this has been discussed already.

Does anyone know if there is any word on a video for "Future Baby Mama?" The song has been in regular rotation on adult R&B stations around the country since July. It's been in the top 10 of Randy Jackson's syndicated countdown since that time as well. I thought a video was sure to follow, I guess that's what I get for thinking. Was one ever shot? Is it too late for one now?

Seems like a great opportunity might have been missed here - that is an opportunity for me to see Prince crooning a sexy ballad on VH1 Soul on the regular. Seriously, a video for this one would have been nice.

I like the song, but I can't see a video being made there's too much controversy about it.

It's a little too late for a FBM video. He just released the video for CR and supposedly, he is did a video for Somewhere Here On Earth. I'm sure, that will be it for the PE promotion. He didn't even try for this project.

I kind of feel that way too, which is sad. There were some really good songs on the album. I guess he made his money with the MOS deal, so he was "over" PE by then, i.e. before it was even "released." It's cool for him because he made his money and used it to promote the O2 shows, but for those of us who supported the album it sucks.

A video for FBM seemed like a given back in July, but as time passed, hope for one dissipated. I'm not feeling the CR video. It's such an uninspired afterthought, kind of like the Fury video. TAC and Black Sweat were both good looking videos, but the last two don't cut it for me. I don't really consider Guitar a video, it was more of a promo. It would have been nice to see at least one good video from PE. It's an album that I still enjoy listening to. Oh well, I'll just have to look forward to the next project. Because that is one good thing about Prince, there's always another project. And, thankfully, unlike other artists, we don't have to wait three years past forever for it to come.

i think it would make a nice vid. i've posted several times on other threads that i thought it would be cool to shoot it in a "Damn U" style video.

I think that it's too late for a FBM video. Airplay for the song was pretty strong on Urban AC radio, with it peaking at #6 on the chart. However, that was several weeks ago, and the song has now dropped out of the top 10. I get the impression that FBM was something of an appetizer - released before the main song that would have a radio/video push behind it.

I wonder what would be in the clip if he had made one? Shots of tree branches blowing in gale force winds. Look-a-like Prince women with pregnant tummies and babies crawling on the floor.
