Eric Gales is trying to get Prince's attention! Look up Eric Gales on Youtube and watch him jam live all over the world wearing his "Prince symbol" necklace. It looks like it was custom made. The one I bought from the NPGMC store wasn't that big. This Jimi Hendrix "look a like", plays like Jimi too. It would be awesome if Prince were to play with him or even take him under his wing. He's a great guitarist.

Yeah, Eric Gales is the s**t. Been a fan since '91, and I count him as one of my biggest influences. Lately though, some of his performances have been hit and miss - he's had substance abuse problems in the past. When I saw him at a concert in NYC in 2001, his main concern was finding out who had some weed in the audience...
Eric and his brothers Eugene and the late Jimmy (Manuel Gales) King have some serious talent. Two of my fave Eric Gales performances: http://www.youtube.com/wa...j_rYnB5YRM http://www.youtube.com/wa...TB7wYtYTEo My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

So true, but if one of the world best can clean himself up, by hanging out/jamming with a major influence...we all would benefit. I've seen Eric live and I've bought his cd's. I thought he was Jimi Hendrix's son and no one that I didn't know about. I'd rather Prince have him in his band or be teaching him than Tamar or Shelby J or those "Dandelion girls" or "Funky Baldheads", etc. Peace!

Not that you are comparing Prince to Hendrix, although some people do, Prince said in an interview that his guitar playing was more like Santana.

piss on Eric Gales if he was tying to score some weed...there was another musician that visited my area.. I was SO excited to meet, but instead of having a regular conversation...all this fool could do was keep asking me where he could score some cocaine....
wish I could share his name..but I wont.

Yeah, it totally caught me by surprise and disappointed me to no end. It cast a pall over one of the best live music experiences I'd had up to that point. Not long after that, he was spotted puking violently after a show in another city. The rumor was he'd had a bad reaction to whatever it was he was taking.
Dude has so much talent... My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

Prince lies alot. It's like he would never say that he stole Rick James whole steeze. Prince is more influenced by Hendrix then Carlos. Just another Prince smokescreen.

P took an overtop image from many greats who came before. Rick was talented but in no way was he ever the performer Prince was back then or now. Go check out some performances from the two of them back them.

And I should know - I dissected every Prince solo I could get my hands on during my formative playing years. But what guitarist in the rock realm isn't influenced by Jimi Hendrix in one way or another? That's pretty much a given. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

Yes, I know Prince is heavy into Santana. I've followed both guitarist closely. I was not referring to Prince teaching Eric Gales how to play or create music, but how not to let outside things prevent him from have a nice long productive career. Channel his energy, focus, don't end up a basehead, drown in your own puke, end it like Cobain, etc. Face it, Prince has lost a child and two wifes that were both prettier and finer than my ex wife and I won't even get into his industry struggles. Bottom line, he can still jam on stage and on cd and he still has some bad ass babe all around him.
What guy couldn't use him as a consultant?
