I really feel for Prince as he has lost both his parents, his son, two divorces and he doesn't own his past songs. He must feel very lonely. Prince is magic

What do you mean change your name... I think we all have Prince scars...everytime someone says he's gay, or overrated, or has lost his mojo, or isn't sexy, isn't a genius....take your pick. I always defend him with humor but most of my circle and family know not to get me started. One day maybe they will get it, but one of the biggest frustrations is that most people won't, even after he's finished sharing his gift with us and that is sad.

retiring my current ORG name due to issues best dealt w/in therapy. i gotta get off this now. i'm embarrassing myself. thank you for caring. i'll be better tomorrow . . . The Police Synchronicity Ii Lyrics Another suburban family morning Grandmother screaming at the wall We have to shout above the din of our Rice Crispies We can't hear anything at all Mother chants her litany of boredom and frustration But we know all the suicides are fake Daddy only stares into the distance There's only so much more that he can take Many miles away something crawls from the slime At the bottom of a dark Scottish lake Another industrial ugly morning The factory belches filth into the sky He walks unhindered through the picket lines today He doesn't think to wonder why The secretaries pout and preen like cheap tarts on a red light street But all he ever thinks to do is watch And every single meeting with his so called superior Is a humiliating kick in the crotch Many miles away something crawls to the surface Of a dark Scottish Loch Another working day has ended Only the rush-hour hell to face Packed like lemmings into shiny metal boxes Contestants in a suicidal race Daddy grips the wheel and stares alone into the distance He knows that something somewhere has to break He sees the family home now looming in his headlight The pain upstairs that makes his eyeballs ache Many miles away there's a shadow on a door Of a cottage by the shore Of a dark Scottish lake Many miles away

if hes lonely or unhappy its his choice. god or life gave him A LOT and hes smart enough to enjoy it. there millions of people with real miserable lifes out there.

I watched the news ealier. Really wouldn't want to be an Iraqi or Afghan at the moment. Or North Korean for that matter. Or Sudanese. In fact given the choice I'd plump for 'millionaire lifestyle plus child loss and racial issues' over rape, oppresion, fear and poverty of, say top of my head, someone from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Scars? Yeah right.
Not that I'm saying that Prince's or the child's mum's pain is something to not care for, just that there are greater things you could grieve for and, perhaps, make a difference to. I'm not gonna, but you could.

Oh my God! You haven't been breaking into people's houses and eating their porridge and sleeping in their beds have you!? Shame on you! Umm, what do you look like? If you're fit you can break into my house and sleep in my bed if you like... [Edited 10/31/07 5:02am]

Well I meant I feel for his loss as in general sympathy that you would have for anyone, I guess I better clairfy I don't have scars or am hurt like the orginal poster, I was just reflecting on what he has been through. Regardless of millions of people out there suffering who don't have his fame and wealth, loss of a child and or/ parents is real pain for anyone, regardless of who they are and that loss shouldn't be played down and compared to the suffering of others. Prince is magic

A hug, antidepressants or...maybe...a life. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I had my hip replaced just to be like him.
That left a scar. | |

Do you know what I think?
That you all ain't got nothing to do!! I'm gonna have a short break from the Org. Maybe there will be a fresh wind on the Org in a few weeks and some more positive noises. There surely is an overload of useless threads and posts in here. See ya.
