Worst Cover Version???

Your votes please.

Persnally, I think Cyndi Lauper's 'When You Were Mine' sucks like a dyson.

Also, can anyone remember a cover of 'Wanna Be Your Lover' by ex-Neighbours starlets The Blakeney Twins or did I imagine the whole sordid affair?

What? The song is brilliant much better then the Family's version (which I like). I feel that if Sinead hadn't covered the song it may have been forgotten completely.

Why does this keep coming up? LeAnn Rimes' "Purple Rain." Download it and experience the horror.

Oh, and does it count as a cover if Prince didn't release it first?

I'm not sure, but maybe Sinead's is a "version" instead of a "cover." Prince wrote the song, but he didn't record it himself until after Sinead had a hit with it.

Yes she covered the song with Sisqo on her album "Butterfly"
terrible, slowed down, no screams, Sisqo afraid 2 reach a note, Mariah's 2 quiet 4 the screams...she shouldve bootlegged it.

I'd say the Stylistics dreadful cover of the Prince classic 'Betcha By Golly wow' ... it was way too '70s' wink

Serious vote ... Sinead O'Connor's culpable homocide of Nothing Compares 2 U

The neighbours twins were called Gayle and Gillian (as I remember) .. and yes, they did murder I Wanna B Your Lover.

Levi,

Don't worry, I think everyone else got it!

As for Gayle and Gillian, they were the Alessi twins in character.

question

I Feel For You, written by Prince, performed by Chaka Khan with harmonica by Stevie Wonder and raps by Grandmaster Melle Mel was a huge hit and won a Grammy Award.

...So did Milli Vanilli lol just kidding

Anyway, I like Chaka's version...it's not like Prince's was all that great to begin with...not bad, but I'll take Chaka's...

Has anyone had the misfortune to hear "Sexy Dancer" by 7 HURTZ WITH PEACHES AND BITCH LAP LAP from the "If I was Prince" album ? Truly, truly awful!

"Head" by Ice T is also extremely painful!
