Top Twelve If you please, your definitive collection of twelve songs for a greatest hits album that doesn't include When Doves Cry, 1999 or Kiss (well maybe Kiss) like all previous releases.
For starters I will be including: Tamborine Sometimes It Snows In April Don't Play Me Help me out here!

- Joy in repetion
it's a classic, recently a concert favorite, and I think most Prince fans love it. - The Most beautiful girl... It should be on his greatest hits album, it probably was his best selling single ever. So it's really unbelievable it was missing on Warner's stupid 'Very Best Of...'-release. - Housequake I think this is the track that's really what Prince is all about. This should have been a single, really!

Define "hits"...is it just the songs we like sans "Doves," "1999," and "Kiss," whether they charted on the top 40 or not? Or songs that charted except those mentioned above? I gotta know. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I'll record all lists and publish the most popular 12 songs. Would anyone object if I included a bootlegged song?

I'm just looking for the less predictable songs, the ones that define his song-writing beyond the more commercial tracks. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the ones I mentioned, it's just that WB have released very predictable albums with no imagination.
