This, to me, is by far the best biography. It's well written by an esteemed music journalist. Well researched and objective, relevant and intelligent. Start here, if you can find it. Has good color pics in the middle section, too! | |

Well, BVH swears by D.M.S.R., if that matters. I have this softcover book with a pic of Prince's high school basketball team somewhere. I think it's in storage. | |

Get 'DMSR' by Per Nilsen,it is arguably the best book ever written about Prince.Actually,all of the Uptown books ('Turn It Up' and 'Days Of Wild') are a must-have.Also,go back and try to find all the back issues of Uptown magazine.
'DMSR' ends in 1988,I wonder if Per is gonna write a "sequel" that takes us from the years 1988 to 2002? | |
