Phew... that's asking a little much.

I'd say it'd have to be either:

Purple Rain or Sometimes It Snow in April
That's the general consensus.

But you were to ask me personally... Gold would be mine.
When I was first exposed to it, I found its meaning and its sound so powerful that it was very difficult for me not break down whenever I'd hear this. I actually saw the video a couple of times b4 I got the album. But when I did, there were 2 "incidents" when it reached me and it showed an explosion of emotions. But that was also the very first time that Prince's music had spoken to me in a personal way.

I don't get tear-eyed over it anymore, but there are times where I does bring a tear to my eye, just thinking about that special moment.
That's why I ultimately gave it the label "soul tattoo".

Sometimes It Snow In April actually made me cry more than 1nce but I don't cry off of it anymore!!!

And Gold always makes me kinda sad, don't know why but it gives me this happy/sad feeling that I just can't get over when I hear it.

Both are very beautiful song though!

I always get a little tear when I hear "Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do". It's such a beautiful song..simple but strong in heart.

I'll agree with most posts here and say "Sometimes it snows in April".

I remember hearing that for the first time while living in Europe, I was pining for a lost love (Oezlem, where are you now?) and that song had me sobbing in no time.

For me it is "Don`t Talk To Strangers" , it makes me cry every single time I play it.

This may sound slightly morbid , but when my kids were young I always used to think that if I died before they grew up , this is the song I would like played at my funeral.
It captures the most simple and yet purest thoughts and hopes you would have for your children if you were going away and would never see them again.

It is a beautiful , beautiful song.
