Well if it's his charm offensive it worked, all I have to do is look into those eyes and I'll forgive him ANYTHING!

I thought the same thing when I saw that that was the song this week.

I have always said that "Love" was dedicated to his fans. The lyrics directly speak to people on sites (like this one) that say they "Love" Prince, then bash his beliefs and music.

Prince is trying to tell us something here from time to time. Or at least, his people are.

For instance, I remember when the C Note songs came out. Not long after, someone posted that they realized the first letter of the names of the songs spelled "C Note", which was how much it cost to join NPG.

And wouldn't you know it? The official title of that release is "C Note".

I've seen people come up with weird theories, but there is no doubt the "C Note" story was planted by Prince.

I don't know, maybe it's because I'm getting older but I think I'm just at a point where my feelings about Prince's "unneccessary" antics, can no longer be soothed by the release of a acoustic "message" he's trying to send. Prince can be unreasonable and unfair to fans at times and he deserves to be challenged on those things. Being a Prince fan at times feels like dealing with George W. Bush in terms of "either you are for me and EVERYTHING I DO to anyone or anything for any reason, or you are against me". Anyone who questions or shows any form of dissatisfaction with things he's done are labeled, "the enemy" or "not coming from a place of love". That is some bunk. Prince is not perfect, and every move he makes is not correct, despite some people's perceptions. Some people are not going to just sit silent and take anything he dishes out. Those people more than likely will be labeled this that or the other, kicked out of his life, kicked out of his band, or kicked off of his staff. But that's ok.

With all of that said, that doesn't mean I enjoy his music any less, it's just for me personally, it has come down to what I will continue to accept and my corresponding choices. And luckily we are living in a age where I feel I have the PERFECT choice.

Whew, I just wanted to get that off of my chest.

Why am I having problems loading, "Love" I wait, I press different buttons, yet still, it will come around to saying...no tracks loaded...does it load on light blue or red?

this is terrific. he's makes the song 10 x's more sincere by going acoustic (it's also a nice new sound he's playing with). the picture that goes with it is funky too, it's rare the artist's shot looking up at towards the viewer like that. =)
