"The PARADE Tour" Love Thread So I was indulging in some Prince videos this weekend and pulled out "the Parade Tour" from 1986 in Detroit. It’s been a while since I have watched this and I must say WOW! I really enjoyed this tour a lot! I think the Revolution was in top form playing along side Prince. The band was extremely tight and the FUNK was on. I also had fun watching Prince do his thing on this show. He was playful, energetic and most defiantly in command of that stage. It’s always good to hear "Anotherloverholenyohead" and "Mountains" live! "Pop Life" killed too.
Great performance...a classic! "All the fellas call me Princey...All the Ladies call me Electric Man...cuz when I plug in2 yo socket baby, I'll charge U like no 1 can.." Dad. Cartoonist. Illustrator. Arguably his finest of all yes. The Detroit 86 show should be on DVD before the lip sync theatre of Sign O The Times. Glug, glug like a mug

Raw, energetic, songs to die for and great dancing ( remember him with the band dancing to Kiss !! ) Simply fantastic. "Pretty Mummy, this loco right ?" (3121)

Apparently he did, but this concert was severely edited for tv. Sounds like some gems were left out of the broadcast version. It was dicscussed here: http://prince.org/msg/7/248892

It sounds good on the disc. Dad. Cartoonist. Illustrator. TOPPS Star Wars and Walking Dead Illustrator. Film Illustrator. JEDI. PRINCE Fan. www.theartofprince.com
