I have mixed feelings for it. It's okay, but it's dull, and the lyrics are timid as well. Still, it's fun sometimes. But there were much better songs in the vault that got kicked out for this one. | |

Always loved it. Just Prince at the top of his game using a bare minimum of ideas of and instruments to make a great song.
Never really got the hate it gets (it often gets voted out very early in 'best song from SOTT' type discussions. | |

My SOTT DVD doesn't have "It"? Are you sure? He sings "It" after he sings "Forever In My Life". But He is still using the "Forever In My life" beat with "It" lyrics. Some people think I'm kinda cute

Great song; the beat reminds me a bit of When Doves Cry.
I just wish he'd refrained from stating the obvious later in the song ("Fuckin' on your mind"). It was a lot more charming when it was kept ambiguous. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I like the song, even though I'm not a fan of that drumb beat.
Overall, it's a song that works very well with a really really good album. I just wish desperately that a re-mastered version of SOTT would be released. | |
