Sexy Dancer
Hot Thing Let's Work Erotic City Nasty Girl (does this one count?) Re: Erotic City... Years ago I saw Sheila E. at the Ritz in NYC. At some point in the show--I think she was about to go into another song--I start yelling "Erotic City!" at the top of my lungs. Sho nuf, the first funky strains of EC are heard, and who but His Royal Badness himself joins her on stage. I thought the floor was going to gave in. We lost our collective minds. It was awesome! My opinion changes all the time, but at the moment, the funkiest Prince song (as far as P-Funk/Sly Stone kind of stuff) is "The Undertaker" live on Rave Un2 The Year 2000. I just wish I had the full version, and not the two small excerpts! Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com

SWANG said: chickengrease29 said: There's a song called A Different Kinda Thing on the Play With Me Baby boot. It's not Prince singing but it's definetly him doing the music. Eye played it 4 Sky and a few other friends at the celebration in our room and they loved it! If any1 knows who it is singing, let me know!
This is not a Prince song. It's Tony LeMans, who released one Paisley Park lp before having a falling out with Prince. Unfortunately, Tony died in a car crash in '92. There is an alternate version of this song featuring Boni Boyer on vocals, but there was no Prince involvement in any of Tony's material at the insistance of Tony himself. In my opinion, this was one of the better Paisley Park releases without any Prince involvement. Anyone else agree? -SWANGsyourrhythmrockerboogieshockerbaby well, liked it better than three o'clock and good question so i guess relatively speaking i agree with u. no really, tony's album is tough, i should dig it out and give a spin.
