I forgot how good this song is...Betcha by golly wow! is playing now and I forgot how good this sounds...Man I think Prince didn't do this album justice. There was great hype and he released Betcha by golly wow! and the Holy River as singles??? He released Jam of the year and Somebody's Somebody to video and radio (you know how TV and Radio treat our boy). There was so many gems on there and it seemed he gave up on the project so quick. I can't make you love me might have done good...who knows... but Somebody's Somebody is a great song...Emancipation was good...

You must remember that the record company folded (EMI) when he was promoting the cd. That was the reason it didn't perform well; not only that, he had made such a bad name for himself for "SLAVE" and speaking out against record companies.

I remember reading that Emancipation was originally going to have 8 or 10 singles, but we only ended up with 4 or 5.

Yes! That video really goes with the song...In the limo, at the hotel and in the dressing room wishing someone was there with him. I remember him looking at some take out like "not this again" and just looking bored and sad while looking over the balcony outside his hotel room. GREAT VIDEO!!!!
