Wendy plays guitar on five. (?)

Lisa plays keys on one.

I just want to reiterate that lisa only appears on keys on one song and wendy provides various guitars on five (i double checked and its five)...their contributions on this disc are minor. no songwriting or arrangement assistance and most importantly no vocals.

this dead goose is all princes.

What do you want any of us to say? I think we know why this CD has such weak tracks and why P gave it away.

I just hope it means no more W&L contributions.

Didn't they help out with All the Midnights in the World? Sounds like them.

Sorry... Wendy plays on the title track? Are you sure? It's such a mess... and an homage to barry manilow... and a mess.

I really thought they only appeared on The One I Wanna See, Lion of Judah and All the Midnights...

My panites are not in a bunch because I knew this would happen if he hooked up with W&L.

Your are not reading the topics on this board proclaiming PE to be the worst CD every recored. Get a clue.

No vocals?? Not a big fan of PE but I wondered why Prince didn't have them put some voice on some songs. Since Prince was always trying to get girls that sounded like Wendy and Lisa or other old band memders like Dez Dickerson.

Like Prince had this guy,on a few records and live. I forget his name that sounded and sung backround parts just like Dez Dickerson/

it isn't a minor detail that Wendy and Lisa were hired hands playing parts on Prince tracks and not actual collaborators.

i can get past that part, but i don't understand why he didn't have them do more vocal work. no one backs Prince voice like Lisa.

hi dear... hug

yeah, its funny cause i posted how underwhelmed i was with the backing vocals (when everyone thought it was w&l) so i was kinda glad to find out the vocals weren't theirs in the first place.

and i could care less who collaborated on the beast, i just want a quality album...with that being said, seperately i would love for the three of them to work together, as artistic equals (like they are able to do with so many others whom they share songwriting and arranging credits with) but its obvious that prince is in prince's world right now and is only interested in the "gimmick" of collaboration... ala his whole guest produced by "prince" bs from Rave.

No, it wasn't Miko. It was more recent. On the Hit N Run tour there was a guy that sounded like Dez. Also on The Work Pt.1 on the Rainbow Children album there's a dude singing backup that sounds alot like Dez Dickerson.

right? it's the same as with the Brit Awards. after being overcome that they were all on stage together (and Sheila, too!), i was pissed that the vocals on effing Purple Rain were favored to the freakin' Twinz & Tamar! WTF?

the Jungian in me has a lot of theories, and the kabbalist says, "judge not." damn that kabbalist! wink

and... hug
