Prince isn't exactly helpful to put the "he's gay rumor" to rest.
His style, choice of clothes, behavior, etc. seems to be rather prissy.
I don't think he's gay (or at least, I hope he isn't gay), but the man is definitely in touch with his feminine side.
Whenever he makes a public appearance lately, walking hand in hand with the twins, he looks more like one of their girl-friends, than pimp-daddy.
He seemed to dress more conservative when he was with Manuela.
Liberace comes to mind, when I see him now in his flashy, feminine attire.
I find it very appealing, when he tones it down a bit. I don't expect him to be all macho, but his prissy side isn't very sexy to me. I want a little more testosterone in a man.

The fact that they think he's gay doesn't bother me at all because I think he's gay too. What bothers me is the way they say it when they call him gay....as if being gay is a bad thing. Also when they say he's gay and his music sucks in the same sentence. If they think his music sucks, it has nothing to do with being gay. When it comes to attitudes about gay people these days, a lot of people are still living 30 years behind the times.

Believe it or not, I do understand that Prince doesn't care about what I think. He also doesn't care about what everybody else on this site thinks. Isn't everyone just speculating, when it comes to Prince's personal life?

Most of your replies seem rather angry! There is no need for that.

Are gay people required to let everyone in the world know they are gay? And is it possible that the girls he hangs out with (or even marries) KNOW that he is gay, and that they are just good friends? Is he, or anyone, required to have sex with girls who are friends? Does being in love with someone require that you have sex with them? Then of course, he could just be completely straight. Just some thoughts.

What annoys me is that people of my generation (early 20s) come out with things like 'why do you like prince, he's crap, hes a weirdo etc'

But the funny thing is they have really actually never listened to a prince song or cd, they make their judgements on what they have read/heard about him.

Its just plain ignornace-hes written some of the most amazing songs-but people dont even know it him!!

I've only really mentioned it to my family. But the subject gets changed really quick, especially when my mom's in charge of it.
I think she's uncomfortable about him with his appearance and context and even the fact he screams sometimes and "can't be understood".

She doesn't take him too seriously, I think... at least not my supposed "obsession" with him... can't say its the first time that's happened wit me... but it's different this time around.

Otherwise, I really haven't had such a case.
But when he comes up, the subject gets changed before a minute goes by. And that hardly seems fair
