Prince 2 attend fashion show in L.A. Oct. 17th http://www.fashionweekdai...sid=478867
A look from Loudermilk's Spring 2008 collection. Gone With the Wind Prince to attend Linda Loudermilk's eco-chic L.A. show (NEW YORK) Before it was considered en vogue to go green, designer Linda Loudermilk was blazing the trails of eco-chic fashion. Now that Los Angeles Fashion week is following suit, Loudermilk remains ahead of the trends, taking her commitment to the environment to the next level: eco-luxury. The theme of her Spring 2008 collection is "Windpower," and on October 17 at 6:30 p.m. BP's LEED-certified eco-gas station on Robertson & Olympic will serve as Loudermilk's unusual, environmentally friendly venue. While always committed to nature and preservation, this season Loudermilk was directly inspired by dramatic gusts of wind, with large windmills powering the runway. "In this collection, I am breaking down the old ideas of construction just as the wind rearranges the world around us at will," said Loudermilk. "I believe that when there is a breakdown, something is created anew." Styled by Johnny Wujek, expect airy transparent looks, flowy pieces, and innovative fabrics including mud-dyed linen and vegan silk, in addition to organic textiles such as wood pulp, sasawashi, seaweed, and organic cotton. Loudermilk's ethos will be adhered to down to the last detail, with Origins launching their Organics line backstage and providing all the hair and makeup for the show. Prince's DJ, Rashida, will be spinning live and green girl Kirsty Hume is slated to walk the show. An added bonus? Celebs including Pink and the elusive Prince himself are slated to attend. Though Los Angeles is notorious for traffic and air pollution, getting to the show will produce limited emissions. Lexus will be providing hybrid transportation for V.I.P. guests. www.thebumpsquad.com www.myspace.com/thebumpsquad Props 2 JOey 4 sending in the article. j7 Silence Speaks A Thousand Words.

Vegan silk? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

1995. Hence his musical tribute to Versace with one of the "Pussy Control" remixes. Only the stupid are STILL Prince fans.

Yes DJ Rashida was there rocking a beautiful white silky shirt dress. orange sash, fluffy curls and neo colored lizard ankle boots....MUSIC was very London style Beats and coolness for the Eco friendly show featuring Kristy Hume wife of Donovam Leitch "Camp Freddy" Band. Just a few other notable celebs...
See Below: http://www.wireimage.com/...d=C&vwmd=e My understanding is Prince arrived late and didn't take his front row seating...but made his stance in the back with a bodyguard. A model in the show said he was the very reason she wanted to book the show, adding that she was hoping to catch his eye front row but was satisfied to see him at least in attendance...though he made a quick exit when it wrapped. I was looking forward to a brief sighting since I missed all the local LA concerts at the Roosevelt. It would have been too amazing for Prince to have jumped on the stage for a lil musical jam ..But I think the BP gas station was a bit different than the Versace show in Milan. Beautiful show and a great promotional idea to curtain a modern space looking station for a fashion show though See Below http://www.flickr.com/pho...555068756/ http://www.wireimage.com/...d=C&vwmd=e
