I bought mine from the NPG Store in London. It wasn't cheap even from there, but it was nice because it felt more like a prop from a movie (The Beautiful Experience) than a magazine. Incidentally, the magazine itself wasn't up to much, less about Prince and more like a glossy lifestyle magazine.

I remember in 1994,calling the 1-800 New Funk number, trying to order something and the clerk on the phone was telling me about this 10,000 magazine.I asked how much it was,and he quietly said "50 dollars" No way was I gonna pay that much for a magazine!

I was a foolish fan then who'd obviously buy anything (then again, I think I bought the Goldnigga CD in the same transaction, so maybe not that foolish)

I have distant memories of one copy going for £80/$160. Perhaps from Madhouse Music. At least NPG Magazine got to four copies. ha Glug, glug like a mug

20 pounds from the London NPG store. And pretty much the only worthwhile thing in it is the lyrics to "Adonis and Bathsheba" (1986 outtake)
