Whenever I've made mix CD's for friends w/ Prince, I am always wary to include his unreleased stuff -- because I tend to like it alot, but I think subconsciously only because it's unreleased -- the majority of his unreleased stuff isn't as quality & doesn't have the mass appeal most of his released material have. That being said, I personally almost only listen to his lesser-heard or unreleased material, but that's only cause I've often grown tired of Prince's released stuff for a while, but I gotta remember non-prince fans aren't in that boat. | |

get rid of the unreleased stuff and live songs. Is ur friends father a newbie? if so, start him off with the HITS, or if he knows of the HITS make a cd with better stuff lke (Joy in repetition,Endorphinmachine,Adore,Thunder, etc. | |

It depends. I've got friends who were never into Prince although they grew up hearing all the hits. All those I've since turned on to him (especially those I took to the O2) have loved the unreleased/live compilations I've made them. If they want the hits they can go by Ultimate. | |

nah he's a bit of an expert on music-dug on prince for years went to the dirty mind concerts etc-just hasnt heard much recent,unreleased stuff | |
