To me I always enjoy his albums. They are always Different and Fresh. He always surprises us and wows us with his efforts and all and to me He's always ,always Exciting! In America, we have this thing called freedom of speech, where we get to criticize anyone at any time. Perhaps you've heard of it. It's covered in the first amendment a little something we like to call the Constitution.




Ah, the problem here is that when there's 1 fan left, Prince makes no money. No money to generate more music. No money to fund Paisley Park. Or the music club. Or buy instruments. Or tape. Or studio equipment.

Then see how much music there'll be.

I also would never want Prince to Compromise himself just to sell more records you Know. He's Great and shouldn't have to be What he doesn't want to be. Prince should Always stay True to himself. Fans Should Always Support him and his Musical Direction. He should be able to try new things and new Directions and not be Ostracized for it. He's a Wonderful Musician.

Truth is, Prince will never go broke. He has too many ways that he can derive income/revenue without doing too much of anything.

Prince will never go Broke fully period.He might not have the Lifestyle He once was rolling on a Yearly take but dude should be set pretty well.I think it's always interesting to Hear folks think about why they still dig Him&the others that are tired of Him.He is a Love Em or Hate Em type of Artist&that Divide alone keeps the Cat interesting IMHO.I prefer His Older Stuff far more but Prince is always gonna be Prince no matter what He is into or doing.

Prince could live a comfortable lifestyle off of the monthly royalty checks that he receives from Warner Bros.

A couple years ago, I read that the Prince catalogue brings in $5 million a year to Warner Bros. Prince gets a share of that money. He received a large multimillion dollar payout in from Arista for the Rave album. He probably used the money from Arista to pay for the Toronto mansion.

Prince still lives a lavish lifestyle, but you can see where he has cut back on expenses. The stage settings for his shows are kept to a minimum. The number of people on his payroll has been trimmed. Maintenance at Paisley Park is not being kept up that well. Mani's clothes don't look anywhere near as expensive as the designer fashions and cosmetics that Mayte had.

It's called "venting." If a former Prince fan has the need to state their reasons why they're not into Prince anymore or why they feel disappointed by Prince, they're not going to go to a Springsteen or Rolling Stones website to say it.

This is a website that focuses on Prince. That means there's fans posting here and there's ex-fans who post here. I can remember a few years back, around 1997-'98, when there were a couple of anti-Prince websites. One of the sites had a message board that was wild. A few posts from naysayers on prince.org is nothing compared to those former sites that were set up for the purpose of bashing Prince.

Who cares if anyone is "giving up/quitting Prince"?

When people post to give us a dramatic story about why they are not into Prince anymore (not going to his show/buying albums/etc.) it seems like a silly thing to post. I mean hey if you don't like Prince anymore that's all well and good but I don't give a fuck. It's your life and it's not like your leaving a country or religion. Listen someone else and quit being so dramatic. He is only a rock star (albeit the best ever)
