I never noticed that! Hey, have yall ever listened to a song a million times, and then suddenly notice something it it you'd never heard before?
EX: Future baby mama: At the very end he says "So what you wanna do?" Lady Cab Driver: There are seagull sounds up under the music after the "This is for..." part. When doves Cry: I'm not sure about this one, but when the screaming part starts, I can kind of hear muttering up under it. I haven't deciphered it and I'm not sure if I'm just hearing things. I'll try and think of more, what about yall?

That was Prince's coded way of saying the song is in the key of G. Well, maybe not, but I like that theory! And the song IS in G.

I have noticed over the years that there were vocals, or pieces of music I could barely hear,
some things come through one speaker and not the other, so I must've been laying by the wrong one...Or the same one. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

There are eight beats in that part, and "I" is the ninth letter, so one letter had to be left out. I think it's no more complicated than that.

I think I know what part in When Doves Cry you are talking about. It's in the background and it sounds like a scream that says "Cry!!!!" It almost sounds like it goes from one speaker to the other. I have heard it, tried to point it out to someone and they can't hear it. MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! I think that she could easily have squeezed an extra letter in as (correct me if I'm wrong - I'm not trained musically) she doesn't say the letters on the beat? I reckon it was left out for a reason. Listen to the long version of the song....it doesnt fade out on the scream... It keeps going with a few extra lines

I think it's no more complicated than that. So what do you think is the logic of leaving the 7th (G) letter out and not the 8th (H)... And I think she's not saying them in synch with the beat.

Since I have been listening to the latest CD in my car, I have noticed on Future Baby Mama a few things:
Besides you mentioning the end where he says, "So what you wanna (gonna) do?" It was also mentioned in another thread that towards the end he imitates a baby crying..."Waahaa, waahaa"... Somewhere towards the end after that I'm not positive but I keep trying to listen if my ears are playing tricks on me but after the ending chorus it sounds like he says "Future Baby Mama - I love you". It's mixed in with all the other sounds. Tell me if I'm just hearing things. And.... in the 2nd verse it goes: I've heard it said that I won't treat U right (you know that ain't right) But they ain't sure 'cuz they don't know nothing about U (U know U want me) U're 2 secure 2 ever wanna fuss and fight (Yeah, that's right) YOU WILL HAVE TO TURN UP YOUR STEREO TO REALLY HEAR IT!!

Reg the missing G in Alphabet St.
I have some distant recollection that Ingred Chevez said the G is missing because this is where her spirit child character is kissed on the song, and therefore misses the G and follows it up with I love U.... . [Edited 8/29/07 3:24am] .

On "Take me with u" at the beginning just after the initial drum breaks you can hear Prince and Appolonia say "shhhhittt" Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.
