"What's your name? Rebe-cca"

At the beginning of "Family Name" on One Nite Alone...Live, during the "what's your name" skit, where Prince mimics the way that woman said her first name, is there any other moments like that from past tours where he does silly, funny stuff like that?

At the london shows he did play around with the people on stage dancing a few times mainly at the first few shows, mimicing how they were dancing and making a suggestion though signals that he thought one girl had been drinking or smoking something. At the aftershows he seemed to have fun sometimes doing random things such as on the 13/09 (i think) he came on and screamed like a fan at shelby whilst she was singing

That was one of the funniest things I've seen/heard.
He was towel whipping the band and screaming from backstage like a crazed female fan - was too funny.
Oh, and it was 13th September, you are right.

yeah he was in a great mood that night flicking the towel at the crowds i was right at the front in the centre and nearly ended up with his dirty towel in my face lovely lol the guy next to me ended up getting the towel when prince flicked it out for the last time he seemed very pleased with it, though someone behind him tried to grab it he held on to it tightly after that

i miss the aftershows sad and its only been 12 days since the last one i went to eek

I like the Tuna story from one of the Celebrations where that Japanese fan came up on stage to dance "What's your name? Tuna? Well Tuna, you better be funky or we'll put you back in the can..."
Just somewhere in the middle,

It does my head in when folk laugh their heads off in a gig because Prince says something "normal"! Is he really that funny or is it because you don't expect him to say something like that??
My girlfriend laughed when he said in a recent gig "sunday is a sports day and shopping is not a sport"....but she gets pissed when I have said that in the past (and a long time before Prince said it!)...weird!

hmmm Very good point! For me somethings I wouldn't expect to hear from him so I'm like omg I'm naturally a silly person so I laugh at silly things! Especially when someone told the story about Prince saying something about it being too sexy and he's gonna get somebody pregnant! eek lol

I remember in Philadelphia during one of the Tamar shows, an older woman, head filled with gray, large, comes onto the stage and starts to lean on Prince while he's playing guitar. She won't leave him alone and the crowd is thinking "Security!"

Prince cut her to the quick with a "Back off Granma; I'm workin'"

At least that's what I remember now...

In the old days, girlfriend would be thrown off the stage by Big Chick and placed ever so gently into a dumpster behind First Avenue. lol

Love it!

I find Prince’s humour quite spontaneous and direct, a bit like Jonathan Ross’- two very different types of people of course – but they can both go quite far and still get away with it…

That’s charisma for you!

I went to see Prince when he came here (I forget which tour, I think it ws Musicology). Anyway, during the soundcheck, Prince said to the audience, "U can come up here on stage if U like, but it's at your own risk. Eye don't have insurance." Then he imitated someone losing their balance. falloff It was funny as anything. Prince is so silly, you just gotta love him. lol

Well that can be hurtful, it would have pissed me off!!!.....but I wouldn't be leaning on him in the first place.

I wonder how he feels about us older fans, sometimes I get the feeling that he doesn't want us up front anymore....it seemed that way in Vegas.

some of the sh*t he comes up with is pure comedy!!
