always some drama goin down round here Interesting observation. I suppose given enough time and opportunity, people will find a reason to start fighting with each other. Someone asking for musical advice devolved into ethnic attacks. Seriously unfortunate displays of human nature going on in this thread.

I can't believe these are all improvised jams. The music is so organic, crisp, and groovy. How did Renato and Prince do so many guitar-keyboard unisons?

Half-way trough listening to the CD I got so impatient and bored by it, that I couldn't get myself to listen to the rest of it. Is it going to get any better? I'd appreciate some advice from the music experts on this site. Am I missing something? : Where did the vocals go on that CD? Did they go east, west, north or south? If you don't like N.E.W.S you are probably best avoiding 'xpectation' too! and the madhouse albums! N.E.W.S was actually nominated for a grammy - something like 'best instrumental...' i love it with a passion, the stuff of dreams for me, but i could understand if it wasn't to everyone's liking...but, it's not because it isn't any good, if you're bored by it, that's your perception, and for you, it probably isn't going to get any better! for me, it COULDN'T be any better! not to sound poncey, but, there's a long ostinato bit, then suddenly this bass note comes in, and it puts the whole tune in a different key....whenever i hear it, i throw my hands in the air and go: whaaa, howww, ehhhh, how'd he do thaaaa! I love Xpectation and the Madhouse albums. I wish Xpectation had had a much wider release, because it was a real step forward after TRC. Ditto CNOTE. SNOOZE/NOOSE was absolute boring bland crap. I was expecting sooooo much more than this pointless, formless, shapeless noodling. There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. (IMO) I "LOVE" the N.E.W.S cd. Some of Prince's music doesn't need words, he can just play & I am moved. God doesn't just tells me how much he "LOVE's" me, God shows me how much he "LOVE's" me. Both telling and showing "LOVE" means to "LOVE". They go hand in hand. You can't have one with out the other. Something is spoken, then followed by an action. That is
