I heard it took 3 days to shoot, so that was part of the issue. I also started a similar thread after I watched it. [Edited 10/3/07 12:30pm] hmm intresting-you do have a point though it is nothing like a real prince gig and is quite artificial. infact....yeah it is crap! maybe we agree on something then, I have never really liked this dvd much, it has it's highlights but is simply not up there with other live dvd's. I have always had the impression that Prince was not very happy or angry about something when watching it. If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

It is really good, the quality is excellent, there is Lenny Kravitz, Maceo Parker, Larry Graham plus members of Sly and the Family Stone, also George Clinton and some nice special features I thought some of the interviews were great. Rave in2 the joy fantastic - Rave!
Everybody rave in2 the joy fantastic - Rave! Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints. Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him

Okay, so I admit, I thought the blue shirt guy with the drumsticks was hot and I wanted his outfit.
That aside, I love this DVD. I threw it on the other night and was up and dancing several times. Greatest per4mance ever? Porbably not, but totally worth the cost. Finally, has the actual real setlist from the taping(s) ever surfaced? Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917

At this current stage in time, I'm just happy there's one of two DVD performances actually released in the past 7 years.

Would u all reccomend it? Is it worth the money? [Edited 10/2/07 16:43pm] It is undeniably the best album IMO. I say that cuz Prince is truly having fun.. he's in the company of artist of the past (George Clinton), artist that he created (Morris Day& The Time), and artist that look up to him (Lenny Kravitz). This concert is "raw Prince" enjoying himself and not having to prove anything. He is "spiritually bound" and "free" which affords him the opportunity to put out his musical creativity without judgement/prejudices from the music critics. This is a jewel to be cherished. I wonder if sexy blue shirt guy is a fellow orger? I'm thinking not. I've assumed over the years that he was of several carefully 'chosen' audience members. Listen to me on The House of Pop Culture podcast on itunes http://itunes.apple.com/u...d438631917

Maybe its me, but all shows taped at Paisley kinda bored me. The bare sets and bright lighting give this and that Jam Of The Year special a high-school talent show effect. The sound and picture quality are excellent though.
Someone answer me this -- Is that Mayte dressed in all white behind the amps... Or was she out of the picture by then?

No not at all. He is just pretending to be so into Prince when he is into self...as is the young woman with the white hat on. I saw this same guy in Vegas/3121. Lemme
