"Maggot Brain" is such a personalized "signature" song, it would be hard for me to hear anyone else play it today aside from Michael Hampton (although I'm sure Prince could do it justice). I know a song is just a song, but everytime I hear Funkadelic play "Maggot Brain" live, a tear just automatically comes to my eye. For some reason, it's a strong emotional drain on my heart. May Eddie rest in peace.
