Housequake.com's faq: "Prince is registered with ASCAP as having written a song entitled "Coca Cola". Although apparently not the "Always Coca Cola" jingle, which is registered ..."

There isn't much to be confused over. As far as Pepsi, Prince wrote a song called Uh-Huh, and that one is heard by Ray Charles on a diet pepsi commercial. Prince wrote it for Ray Charles to use and Ray elected to use it in a diet pepsi commercial.
