Does Prince have a problem with Dirty Mind?

Does Prince have a problem with the song Dirty Mind? I know he has a problem with most of his songs from this period. But does he have a problem with this one? True it is about having a Dirty Mind, but there are no curse words in it. Plus Its a great song, and I would love to see him perform it again. sad

I don't think he has a 'problem' with it. I'm sure he's still very proud of all his albums. I think he just choses not to play those songs anymore because it's not 'where he is' at this point in his life. I think it was the 2004 Tavis Smiley interview where he was asked a similar question, and he replied that he doesn't regret his past because he knew why he wrote it at the time.

It's such a great song and album.

From the minute that drum beat kicks in. I love it.

I think he may be a little uneaasy singing his 'Dirty Mind' songs full stop.

They have a very much 'teenage boy' element about them.

The songs sound like they are written by someone just discovering that the word 'Head' has two meanings..

It's an album that makes me smile so much.

It takes me right back to being 15...

I think as a 50 year old man he might have problems singing these songs now...

I'm sure he still loves them though..
Shut up already, damn.

My guess is that he's simply grown out of it. He probably still loves it...I mean it's one of his many babies...but it's time for grown up music and lyrics now people. He probably views some of those old songs as "childish"...a part of his being a kid. biggrin Something he thought was really cool way back when just wouldn't necessarily have the same appeal for him now.
He gets it! That's why the ladies love him...batting eyes

Maybe not the Nude tour, but the whole remainder US leg part of the Lovesexy Tour and the Japanese shows of that tour... did he skip the track from the playlist? Could be, but I doubt it..
