I've been listing quite a bit to "Erotic City" the extended 12 inch quite a bit lately (along with the extended "I Would Die 4 U" and it got me thinking....

When I saw Prince in Vegas back in February he opened the show with "Spirituality;" for those who don't know this is a "reworked and reworded" version of "Sexuality."

Would he, or has he ever, done a "cleaned up" version of "Erotic City?"

Maybe my mind is forgetting, However, I don't recall that song being explict,
is it? I ought to listen to it now.....

I just realized I don't have it available to listen to, It's on vinyl.

Actually I have the Hits....And now I remember.....I suppose the Cherry concept
is a little iffy....What can ya do.....It's just time consuming, to
go over it....

Well "Sexuality" the word itself isn't explicit either, but he changed it.

To some ears, "Erotic City" contains the word "fuck" -- some people hear "funk."

So I wonder, if it's worth it.....Some songs maybe.....But Erotic City, honestly....I don't think the song is that valuable to his career.....I have got the be one of the biggest Prince listeners, and Erotic City was the song I
rested on...when I went dancing.....

I'm guessing this is the situation....

We have a man contemplating his legacy....Prince's...Spiritual food....

Prince says to himself...look what I have done....I have really played up,
the lust....however.....The Spiritual aspect has gone straight to my heart,
as well as others....

One side is the animal and the other side is the elevated moral code, that
seperates us from that....

Education in today's society needs to contain life classes dealing with these
issues first and foremost...because if younger people learned about cathartic
reasoning skills, before they jumped into a backseat with the wrong lover....

Lust could be a great evaluating tool in search of your perfect mate....

We make mistakes....Prince is a doll, for what he's trying to do.....And he'll
do it too....I know he will....And although it will produce future fans, searching the songs original lyrics....That in itself is a wonderful example of confession....Prince just never ceases to amaze me.
