i went through a LOT of copies of purple rain the first few years it was out. i wore out two vinyl copies, one tape copy that i bought, NUMEROUS tape copies that i recorded from vinyl, and i think i've only had to buy it on CD once because by the time it was issued on disc, i'd properly burnt myself out on it.

of course, i have more copies of the musicology disc than i know what to do with, but that was for other reasons (ellie would understand ).

I've only got one of everything, but then I had to get CD's when lp's went out of style.

There has been one Prince album i had on all (then known) formats:

Around the world in a day.

First i purchased it on casette (i remember it being transparent), then i bought the album on Vinyl, and now i have it on CD.

My favourite still is the vinyl-version, because i just love the fact that you could 'fold out' the cover and see the entire coverart, with the ladder right in the middle.
The vinyl version also had that nice painting on the inside cover, that unfortunately is lacking on the CD-version.

I also remember there was a removable sticker on the front of the vinyl cover off a balloon dragging a little boy in the air.

I don't have more than two copies (vinyl and CD) of anything.

i got three copies of Planet Earth

Got a sealed one on my wall with my ticket stubs from 21inLondon Tour

Should have had two more but refused them

Over the years, I've probably listened to "For You" the most..
However, I would believe that I have listened to Prince's music
more than he has.

as I've got 2 CDs (10 track & 11 track versions) and 3 LPs (Double Album,
UK single album version & Portuguese single album version with green coat
