Prince is an selfish, arrogant asshole. No he is not a peacemaker...in fact he is the furthest from such. He is an antagonizer...someone who gets off on conflict.

He's not a peacemaker.

He doesn't practice what he preaches, and he only writes about making the world a better place. Aside from offering up music, he doesn't actually get involved or give anything tangible to any cause.

I couldn't see Prince traveling to Africa to meet sick people, or visit a disaster area, or become a spokesman for a charity.

He was close in '96 with his Love4OneAnother charity, but like all things he lost interest.

as for all the other stuff i have read here, since when is Bono a peace maker, Bono is the Cliche-man, all the lyrics and all the rest, and another thing, Prince has never promoted himself as a peacemaker, unlike some of the above mentioned. what the hell, who are any of you to brand a person you've never personally seen/known display traits like selfishness and arrogance as such. i don't know what he is, but some people on are no better than what their accusing him of being.
(p.s. I think he's peaceful. at least makes the effort. at least in that song.)
