I just heard "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad" and it's starts off as a sorta cheesey 80's synth-y thing, which I can dig, but then Prince hits you with a great, awesome guitar solo. In my mind, that made the songs greatness go up a whole bunch....

I'm always amazed by his ability as a guitar player and a musician in general

It's on PRINCE the second album. Sorry but he's shirtless on the cover and naked and riding a unicorn on the back. What would your dad think of that?

'Drinking the purple kool-aid' means that you blindly follow Prince in everything he does, as in blindly accept an ideology and so forth, it does not refer to the kool-aid mass suicide, even though that's where it originated.
Yes, I dig Prince. Am I a purple kool-aid drinker? No. I like to think for myself, thank you very much.
