Last night on ABC during NYPD Blue, they showed a Chevrolet commercial with Prince in it.
It was him singing Little Red Corvette from the Sign O The Times Movie. The commercial was about 60 seconds and the last 15 of it was just Prince, I think.
The premise of the commercial was that through the years there have been musical innovators, now Chevy's new SSR car is an innovator.
The commercial shows big groups throughout the years playing live, The Beach Boys, Elton John, and finally, Prince.
I seem to recall a few years ago, Prince was making fun of Toyota for using 'Everyday People.' I guess its ok to use songs in car commercials & billboards now. Makes ya think.
