I'm a big fan of Prince's music but all the developments over the past 10 years have really made me dislike him and as a result I refuse to purchase any of his work.

Why?

Because he treats his fans who have supported him for years like garbage. He shows no mercy in using high priced lawyers to threaten fans over the slightest bit of "copyright infringement" (many times not even so) or anything he does not "approve of", like we're his employees or something. Prince does this with complete disrespect and without mercy. This all started back in '96/'97 when he requested that all fansites "cease to exist" and instead become a part of his official site. Sounds cool, right? The catch was that Prince wasn't requesting, but ordering people to do this. Also, once you became part of "the collective" all objectivity went out the window -- only positive news was allowed, no negative reviews or thoughts.

It is therefore my opinion that Prince is not a good person and does not deserve any respect, and therefore, none of my money. This whole battle with Web Sheriff, Housequake, photobucket, is just an extension of that BS episode back in the late 90's. It's truly pathetic if you ask me. If I would have known this about Prince years and years back, that he was this obtuse and mean-spirited, I would have never bought one album.

Thankfully, with the internet age, I no longer have to. I can get it for FREE.
