I have to say, I've always remained emotionally removed from the repercussions of Prince's desire to control his work and image, however, I do understand how many fans of his music have been hurt by his actions, which they may feel are against them. They say love and hate are two extremes of the same dimension; one can't hate unless one has loved. In this respect, do you think Prince concerns himself with his own level of safety and protection from those who loved him who now seemingly despise him?

Perhaps, his faith in Jehovah provides some stability in terms of when it's his time to go. Whilst the vast majority of fans are sensible, fun-loving individuals, it only takes one rotten apple for a situation to escalate. I imagine being a celebrity, this must be an issue which is regularly assessed in terms of due risk.

before you think of doing anything rash, please call someone, they have hotlines and stuff to talk to if you need someone to listen to you.

Many celebeties of his status attract, get threatening mail from, and are otherwise approached or pursued by people who are mentally unstable, even if that instability has nothing to do with copyright issues .

If "fans" move hundreds or thousands of miles to live near you or change religions to improve their access to you, or are willing to elbow people twice their size to get close to a stage on which you're performing, as is his experience, you'd be a fool not to have bodyguards.

I don't think Prince fears for his life. Why live in fear when you have everything and more.
I think Prince is cautious... which he needs to be because of his celebrity. Like every other celebrity he gets love mail and hate mail.
I also think he is modest and rational that is why he has security guards.

I think he has bodyguards to handle all the crazy wierdos out there...But so do all celebrities.

Weather he fears for his life or not would depend on where he is and what he's doing....but..I think he absolutely 100% needs his bodyguards because without them overzealous people weather they mean him harm or not would simply pick him up and cart him away like free merchandise that they think they have the right to.

I have always believed that Prince should be careful...unfortunately, money
creates, monopolizing issues, that are disquised by other things. If he were
to ever be hurt, I doubt it would be a fan figure....It would most likely be
someone that thought they could harm him and bettter their financial global
position, to implement power....Although, if he fears someone wants to grab

I wouldn't know if he fears for his life but with a celebrity status it's necessary to to have bodyguards around because he can't be sure when a 'crazie' will do something stupid.

I just hope that for him, he will either make it through (as in our faith we believe that some now living may never die at all and will make it through Armageddon, etc.) this system of things on to the next or that if he does die during this system of things, it will be the usual old age death. Even then he has the hope of being resurrected. I wish my Brother the best and hope that his good health is maintained during the rest of his life as well.
