2008? Kick ass CD or Autobiography - which do you want?.

so it's the big 50 for our hero and there is just no way he will let the world forget that in a hurry!. I am sure he'll be cookin' up something. Personally I think it's the right time for an honest Autobiography, i have enough P music to last a life time!. What would you choose.

I could choose alot but I'm gonna go with what we're gonna get...a whole bunch of NOTHING!shrug

He doesn't celebrate birthdays anymore. So him turning 50 will mean nothing to anyone except his fans and by June 7, 2008 he may not have very many of them left.

You'll probably get a CD in 2008 but He's not paying attention to any birthdays. Hven't you heard him say ", The day we all stop counting, we'll live as long as a tree" Go head Chelsea.

I'd prefer a CD, however, There could be a Documentary DVD, with video and Concert footage released someday.

Obviously I would love a new cd/tour/autobiography but my main hope for 2008 is that Prince is happy.

I really hope he falls in love or finds someone to share his life with and maybe start a family-he isnt getting any younger and I think he'd make a brilliant father.

biggrin
Oh Princey if your free for a couple of hours...If you aint busy for the next 7 years...Lets Pretend were married, and go all night..

wink Since becoming saved, I think he is pretty happy, at least he seems to be a little more grounded.A detailed account of his testimony would interest me, but I would always prefer new music and touring to any book.

As far as fatherhood goes, he might already have a child out there(not that's it any of our biz to know) but, I've always wondered who fathered Nona Gaye's 10 year old son.

I agree - fans always want more and more.

He's given so much - far more than any other artist.

Perhaps some reflection of his private life is in order.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Unless he's going to finally blow open the doors of the Vault in a grand fashion, I'll take some form of an autobiography.

I don't really want to know the personal stuff though. He reserves the right to talk ...or not talk ... about that. But a candid, no-riddles discussion of the music ... just him talking about the music, in his own words, and maybe answering some fan questions ... would be a godsend.

If I could pose some questions:

Is there any aspect of your music (a particular song, album, or a general trend) that you really wanted to stand out, but that your audience totally missed over the years? Conversely, is there anything that you never really thought much about, but was surprised got such attention?

Hindsight being 20/20, what changes would you make to your back catalogue if given a chance to go back in time? Singles, songs, albums?

What was really going on at the James Brown birthday event? (Maybe on the personal side, but it was a performance after all)

What individual performances or concerts really stand out in your mind and why?

I'd love to hear him really talk about his output of the past 10 years or so compared with the 1990 - 1995 period, and of course the 1982 - 1989 period. How does he really think it stacks up?

What led you to scream the last couple lines of "Kiss"? What was your thought process? I've always considered that one of the most fascinating moments in your entire catalogue. What are your "favorite moments?"

And once and for all, tell us the complete story of the Black Album, from beginning to end, from your point of view.

(Hoping that he'd have a sense of humor about this one)

Seriously, what were you thinking on Jughead?

I would say neither

If he wants to take some time off great, I don't blame him he works his ass off.

Lastly, he hast come up with anything new or truly worthwhile in over 20 years, so he's clearly spent.

If he ended now, it would be fine with me, just looking forward to his box sets and remastered re-releases, out-takes, etc., if they are ever released.

First of all, our little Princey doesn't celebrate birthdays.
Secondly, if he wrote an autobiography, it would just be full of pretentious bullshit and cryptic messages.
So, to anwer your question, I'd like an album, please. Preferably a funk one smile
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.
