Has Prince ever worked with Herbie Hancock? Now there's a musical genius.

I believe Prince could sure take a leaf or 2 out of his book...
"It really took my practice of Buddhism 2 help me 2 realise that those lessons that taught me about music, these lessons really apply 2 life. I mean isn't it a human beings highest goal 2 b able 2 take whatever happens, whether it's feast or famine, whether it's pleasant things or unpleasant things, 2 take those things and somehow turn them in2 something of value. I used 2 have the opinion that I am a musician. I used 2 think that. I don't think that anymore because I realised that I am a human being 1st. Being a musician is something that I do. It is not something that I am. I'm much more interested in improving my life. My life as a servant of humanity. I realise also, that that is the purpose of music... 2 serve humanity."

It's on "The New Standard" album from 1996, cool album by the way. No, they have never worked 2gether as far as anybody knows.

I would love to hear a collaboration between them. Herbie is a monster and Prince loves his ´Headhunters´ album. And Herbie likes Prince too. He covered ´Thieves in the temple´ and praised him on that MTV special, The Art of Musicology.

I remember hearing that Herbie jammed with Prince (or vice-versa) at some of Prince's LA 3121 Celebrity Parties, c.2005. Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com
