To me it should be enough that he has released a cd of his music for us all to enjoy. I think Prince is within a 100% of his rights to control his art and images and yet he took quite a bashing off his fans for the you tube thing etc and yet when he released video of his London concert on Sky and his website he was ok again. I think abuse works both ways, you really only have to look at some of the stuff said about him on his fan boards which if he read would be enough for him to do more than retire-he'd want to go and become a monk hiding in the hills somewhere!

The problem is some celebrities are far more accessible to their fans online for eg having personal myspace pages or websites in which they leave messages for their fans, so people expect that all celebrities should do it.Ideally it would be fantastic if Prince had a website that had lots of photos of him and a journal where he shared his opinion on stuff with his fans every now and then, that was free and maybe a private members area where fans could download songs and videos and have other payment options instead of just credit card. The thing is it is up to him to decide how much he wants to give us regardless if it seems fair or not fair to you. His obligation to us should end with a cd of his music and maybe a concert and anything else is a bonus. It would be nice if he could release a ton of videos covering all his video clips and tours so fans wouldn't need you tube etc but I think the chances of that happening is increased with respect and asking for it nicely instead of just being insulting and demanding he do it. Lets stop playing victims and get a grip on reality, life is more than an obssession with a celebrity. Be greatful for what Prince has given to his fans that he didn't need too instead of being so negative and foccusing on what you as fans think you are entitled to be given.

Music is all that he really gives us and that's what any artist really does.

And that's all we really should expect. I think we just expect more cuz his music is just so incredible.
To me, it was a treat to find out that he did any interviews at all. And I'm glad I could see some of them when HQ was up cuz that was part of my learning process. But now that they're gone, ill just have to use what I remember.

I don't see it as an abusive relationship in my case. Denial? Maybe, but who really cares?

I think he gives more than I could ever hope to give back.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Nope! He's the best in my eyes and I don't think he ever abused me whatsoever. Hell, he gave us free cds at his concert and through a newspaper. He sent me demos through the mail so I think he's pleased to have us as fans. Not abuse.
