Ultimate Warners Deluxe Remastered CD?

Hypothetically, if Warner Brothers was going to release any CD they own in a new remastered, extended version, which CD would you pick?

I'd go with "Purple Rain"

and then probably,

"The Gold Experience"

A 25the anninversary edition of 'Purple Rain" CD completely remasterd and will all the extended and B sides would be supercool.

"TGE" with all the related tracks would also be cool -- but it already is pretty well mastered -- and I already made my own version of the ""Super" Gold Experience with "Acknowledge Me," the studio version of "Days of Wildm : abd all the related tracks, etc. But it'd still be pretty cool in a perfect version.

Y'all??

Which album do you thinks needs -- and would deserve the deluxe treatment?

For me it would be Around The World In A Day and Sign Of The Times.

As for The Gold Experience, I'd be happy just to see it re-issued. Lost my disc some time ago, which is really annoying. I've got the case but no disc to go in it. sad

I thought he was out of that however, I always heard so much more in Purple Rain years later when I thought about some of the songs being extended and rocked up a little. Not that they weren't just fine...b4

I'd wish Prince had let Warners/Rhino do for his catalog what they did for Elvis Costello's: put out a 2cd set of his album, with the original album intact on 1 cd, and the other featuring singles, b-sides, demos, live cuts, and other relevant tracks. But since Prince has a bug up his ass over WB, we the fans are the ones who suffer from having only a shoddy product available to us (while fans of Genesis, Depeche Mode, the Monkees, Talking Heads, etc get all the goodies)

God - instrumental

Dez Dickerson - Modernaire
The Time - The Bird + Jungle Love

A nice box set of unreleased stuff would do the trick - 4 to 5 CD's but the more the merrier.

He needs to empty the Vault.

Dylan has the right idea with his bootleg series.
