That was great, but there's no need to compare Prince to anybody else. It will never happen. I do think Prince cares about his fans, he's trying to set limitation for how much of himelf he wants to make available to the public, I can understand that.tho I don't like it.

Prince Loves his fans i know that because i feel that. i was a teenager in the 80's and rocked and funked to his Music. i know he Loves his fans because i know about Karma. U Love or Like a certain amount u get that back plus what and who ever else that action or emotion effects. If a person hates they get that back to the exact amount it effected everyone! it was probably a mistake on prince's part to open paisley park and let his fans get so physically close to him...

now i guess they think they own him.

He does care about his fans very much...what do you expect him to do? He's not the type to wear his heart on his sleeve and it's not as if there are only five fans in total! He shows his love through his music! There are plenty of his songs that make me feel loved and cared for..

Just because Prince isn't standing around on corners singing in his dirty jeans for anybody that'll stop and listen does not mean he doesn't love his fans, anybody that's ever been to a Prince concert knows that's not true!

The concerts where he states "so many hits so little time" then doesn't sing them?

The concerts where he teases fans with fan favourites then doesn't sing them but sings some obscure album track from a recent album no one likes all that much.

Prince cares about Prince, before he cares about anyone else.
He decides how close he wants his fans. Sometimes he wants them close and sometimes he pushes them away with his actions.
He has been like that from day one. I think he knows that he has to deal with his fans on some level, if he wants to stay in the public eye. But I can't see him putting much thought into how to keep his fans happy. Prince is all about Prince.

It's up to Prince how his material is distributed. Maybe he doesn't like youtube. I don't like it, lots of people don't like it.

Funny but EVERY REPLY thus far (except lovebird) has missed my point totally. I guess it was kinda misleading. My point isn't that Bruce is playing with a street performer for free (even if Prince would never lower himself to that degree).

My point is the YOUTUBE.COM link. Not only do you find that rare performance, but about 30 other live performances as well.

Is Bruce hurting? See, caring about what your fans want pays off.
