i was just wonderin if any 1 can state there 1 fav prince song as i find it impossible to name 1 favourtie song

I've been a fan since tthe 80's and I know I can't do it, neither can I pick a favorite picture because there are just too many.

If forced to choose, i'd have to say that "The Beautiful Ones" is my fave Prince song. I listen to it practically everyday for hours on end, I think i'm obsessed with that song really lol. I absolutely adore it.

I can't honestly pick a fave Prince anything! 2 much that I love!

I find the trick is deciding what your favorite ALBUM is.

Cuz my opinion changes so much... and more than one bad occasion with TGE have convinced me that it's hard 2 call it my favorite when I have a lot of trouble getting into it sometimes.

But favorite song...
I decided a long time ago (actually a month after coming here and being a "faithful follower" in the ways of Prince & his music) on my favorite song. And I think I pretty much knew it from the moment I heard it the first time.

Aside from that, I have a lot of favorites... there are very few of his songs that I really don't like at all... and some shine brighter than others.

I remember when I first heard "Soul Santuary" from Emancipation, I thought that was the most beautiful love song I'd ever heard. But when I got into a rebelllious mood I loved 'Now" on the gold experience album. it depends on my mood.

It & When Doves Cry are my 2 favorite PR tracks.

TB1's just amazed me the first time I saw him play it (the movie)... I knew his music to be guitar-driven at the time... so I had no idea that he could do such a beautiful song without guitar in the foreground.
And of course, his passion makes it very memorable.

My favourite song is When Doves Dry.
And I named it "Nate".
Cuz it's a boy.

I still rank Purple Rain very highly among my fav. Prince songs. This isn't saying much, but in the beginning, it was 2nd only to Gold, but that's me personally.
I'm not quite sure if its still in 2nd place these days... but it's still one of the best he's ever done. The guitar solo packs so much emotion... he hasn't done anything quite like it since.
