It's the only Prince release (together with the cd version of One Nite Alone...piano and voice!) that I do not own in the original. I only a cdr copy a friend who hates Prince did. That asshole hates prince...and will not sell me it!

Charity shops are usually a good place to start looking for a second hand copy - I actually saw a copy of it in one the other week.

I dunno what it is though but I still prefer listening to the 12" copy of 'The Most Beautiful Girl in the world.' The same goes for 'Diamonds and pearls' - I guess I just prefer the warmer vinyl sound.

As for whether GE will ever be back in print, I imagine one day it will but probably when we're all long gone.

I doubt it will ever be re-released, but not for the JW reason.

Remember, this is a Warner album (despite his best efforts to detatch himself from them, precisely because of this CD). In the past few years (since the JW conversion) warner have re-released the hits and B sides which contains sexy MF amongst other non-JW approved lyrics.

I reckon Warner ultimately have the decision on this, and they'll not reprint it for purely commercial reasons (in my opinion).

Could be wrong though ... hope so.
