I have been trying like mad to wrap my head around Prince and his releasing of music and boots.

I think that the problem lies in the lack of communication. I think a clear explanation would be so beneficial to an understanding. Sometimes it becomes very neccessary to give some reasons behind actions, or a lack of. I do not think it would be appropriate to judge his explanations or reasons. Clarity is key. It's very hard to understand "becauase I said..." or something to that degree.

I think that having a bit more understanding would rally so much more support. Questions I'd like to ask him...


1. Do you feel that NPGMC is giving the fans all that you anticipated?

2. Do you feel that your NPGMC members are supporting you and your endeavors? If not, why?

3. Is the bootleg issue financial, personal, or professional? Do you really feel betrayed?

4. Are you aware of how much support you DO have?

5. How much of a role does "image" play in your life today?

Hmm thats cool, but u know what.. eye dont ask much out of this club, eye just want what eye paid for, the cd's.. so if ure gonna send prince anything.. add a little PS-Sdldawn would love his cd's thanks!

I genuinely believe that the more I research others thoughts and views the more I see a conflict in communication.

I just want to say that no matter what Princes reasons for wanting fans to stop making unauthorised recordings, I am sure he has some, if not a lot, of validity.

However, I also see that there must be something wrong if fans are driven to such extremes out of sheer love and passion for Princes music.

I am definately getting the picture that nobody is intending any harm.

This matter needs to be addressed by fans and Prince together in a safe and comfortable forum free of blame. With the ultimate goal of resolution, reinstating trust, and reconnecting the artist/fan relationship as it should be.

There has to be a way...
