Is P a great human being!

just to get a little more balance i'll start this thread!. I think he's a top man, totally unpredictable, funny, witty, great work ethic, beyond talented, generous and gives his fans a tonne of stuff [which makes us crave more!]He has his faults , but don't we all, at least he seems to be mellowing out with some dignity.
Now run and tell yo mum about that!

I think he is a lovely man from what I have seen of his warm smile and great sense of humour. I think the fact that he is spiritual and always seeking answers is a sign he is at least trying to be a better person.
Prince is magic

agreed!

He's a wonderful person who's inspired millions of others, either in the industry or in life. People who get to know his work change for the better and they start 2 become better people thanks to him.

Sure, I might not know him personally, though I tend 2 think I know him well.
And even if it wasn't for real, one dream I had of him stands alone because he told me that his music comes from the heart and that's what makes him different from other artists.

He makes beautiful music, meaning that he has a beautiful heart & soul.

The fact he inspires me every day with his work and what he's personally accomplished over the years makes him a wonderful person in my eyes.
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

I agree with what Dig said. Prince seems like a totally cool guy, someone who would be cool to get to know.

Yeah.
Even thu I know him pretty well thru his music, there's nothing like knowing him in person. He's just so diff than u figure considering what and how much he's written. In fact, he seems so humble that the name "Prince" doesn't describe him at all. It just causes an illusion, like he's meant 2b worshipped cuz of his talents.
I wrote a poem sorta about that whole dilemma I have sometimes when I can barely call him Prince cuz the name doesn't quite suit him. But I think that's a thread on its own.

Yes Dreamy, I believe the private Prince is much different than what you see in concert. I think his personal values stand out in his music. He does seem like a very humble person, just strip away the layers of "celebrity" and the that's the real man. Illusion or not, don't ever think any person should be "worshiped" though. Just enjoy his music to the fullest.

Haha... I think its just something we all do (me included), but just don't say specifically "omg, I totally worship Prince & what he does."

Someone from here commented about meeting him with her boyfriend, who said 2 him "she worships u." In retaliation, Prince just said "Don't worship me, worship God."

I see him as more than my favorite artist and come to him for more than just a good time. I guess more or less to find the answers to my many questions about love & life. It's a learning experience, but an enjoyable one at that when I listen to his work.
So far, I've given every album I have all the consideration its needed, all the time it needed for it hit or miss. (The songs, I tend to do on a 3-listen basis b4 deciding 2 keep or cut them out)... but there are some cases where I slip a song back in out of curiosity or by accident and I end up liking it.

I do enjoy his work 2 the fullest, and probably give it more attention than pretty everyone I know who doesn't seem to care 2 much about Prince's world. The ignorants just stick with how the media portays him and I overlook that whenever possible.. .and of course, I accept the fact that few will see him the way I do and I can't do anything if they already have a cruel label for him.

Am new to prince.org and yes he is an amazing human being. Seeing him at the O2 this past few weeks has helped me get through the breakup of a 10 year relationship. The man is an inspiration and makes you realise that there is more to life than wasting it on people who just dont care. You get back what you give to life and prince gives us his all with every heart beat. To be forever purple! lol xxxxx

Very!

I'm not quite sure who's story it was. But if we're lucky, she'll read this thread and raise her hand.
It sure blew me away when I heard about that, because I agree, he would say that.

None of us here know the man, so we have no real clue. He may be a nice guy, he may be a scumbag , for all we know. Just because we appreciate somebody's art doesn't mean that we would necessarily like the person behind it. Some great artists were assholes in many ways in real life(for example- Miles Davis, Picasso, John Ford, Raymond Chandler)

Of course he's a great guy! Why wouldn't he be? I don't think a person could get where he is today by being a complete ass! He's allowed his moments and moods just like anybody else...good ones and bad ones! wink
He gets it! That's why the ladies love him...batting eyes
