Well the simplest way would obviously be to get a cd where the tracks are seperated, which you could do quite easily. To do it yourself you will need some sort of music editing program like Adobe Audition, I did it that way but it requires some very precise edits, which can be a real pain! OP, in most european countries the Lovesexy CD was released as a tracked CD.
Just try to obtain one of those versions.

Mh....I´ve bought mine here in germany...and I´d never seen another version...or these versions aren´t indicated.... (akime from germany...adoring HIM since the purple days....)......and....sorry for less quality in grammar...if your german is in a better shape....it´s up 2 u

I see, OP.
Well, its almost 20 years since its original release, maybe things have changed. Try some webcompanies for a tracked version, and call or mail them to be sure they sell that version.

If you purchase a brand new copy from say, Amazon.co.uk - you will get a tracked version. They're all tracked over here now. And they must go for what, a fiver?
If you wanted to do it yourself, just rip the CD to .wav with a CD ripping software, and then open up the .wav file in an audio editing program - there are expensive ones and free ones - all you're doing is cutting up the .wav, so go for a free one such audacity. Then either burn the tracks to a CD, or listen to them as they are on your PC, or convert to mp3 - whatever.

Here's how I tracked Lovesexy using iTunes.
You will rip the same CD 9 times, changing the track name and start/stop times for each rip. The result is 9 separate files with individual song titles. I spent a while figuring out the start/stop times for almost seamless playback both together and as random tracks. Let me know if you have any questions! Eye No (0 - 5:45.05) Alphabet St. (5:46.1 - 11:24.5) Glam Slam (11:24.5 - 16:29) Anna Stesia (16:32 - 21:28) Dance On (21:30 - 25:14) Lovesexy (25:14.5 - 31:04.35) When 2R In Love (31:04.45 - 35:03.5) I Wish U Heaven (35:03.5 - 37:47.5) Positivity (37:47 - 47:03)

Just remembered, you change the start/stop times by selecting the track, hitting Command-I (Get Info) and it's under "Options".

Cool, I was wondering how to fix that too coz my CD is all one track.
Thanks! | |

Try getting hold of prog called Cool MP3 Splitter.
As the name suggests it splits MP3 files. Not sure how cool it is but it definately is very simple to use.

conceptually, i love it as one long track . . .
but i must totally admit it really detracts from my playing the disc most of the time - cause i have to be in the mood to listen to the album in its entirety. and i'm rarely in the mood to listen to ANY album in its entirety.

Thank-you VERY much Se7en for telling us how to track the Lovesexy CD.
I'd been wondering how to do that for ages... it's a bit fiddly using iTunes - but it works very well... thanks again!

Thank you very much too! I love the fact that I can listen to one of my fav tracks "Lovesexy" on my ipod without having to listen to the whole album from the start...

I just ripped the vinyl album, cut it up into tracks, then programmed the tracks to play as an album in iTunes. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
