That's a song by song mentality. I take albums as a whole, if it's an album artist. I Would Die 4 U is nothing but substance taken from a lyrical point of view if you know what it's about. I could say put DN up next to Doves and it would still be bananas/watermelons to a good extent.

Agreed! Those two songs are total fluff and break up the flow of the album.

Totally agree, Parade is funky, but Lovesexy goes so much deeper...

The vocal break in the Lovesexy- with all the changes in chords and rhythmical structures - is maybe the most amazing piece of music Prince has ever recorded. I just get high hearing it.

But Lovesexy's gone.
