Who said "nobody" is listening?

The hardcore fans are. I don't even consider myself "hardcore" and I am listening.

confused

Some Euro "dance" songs have interesting lyrics, come to think of it.

Do you know Gala's "Free from Desire," for example? It's basically about a Buddhist, and that didn't seem to keep anyone from dancing.

Oh, and I remember one that seemed to be a critique of capitalism, and it was still danceable... (sorry, can't remember the artist or title)

Yep.

But given that Prince is JW, and JWs are politically neutral (thus no meddling in war or controversies such as abortion rights or evolution taught in schools)... shouldn't be the same sort of controversies attached to his music.

No I thought they were pretty conservative. Jehovah's witnesses, catholics, mourmons, and Chirch of Christ are some of the most conservative.

JWs are not conservative in the same way as those other groups, because they do not try to influence public policy.

DazzFunky

I can honestly say that he is the ONLY Jehova's Witness I would invite into my home. He would have to cancel the rest of his "knock knocks" for the day. I'm sure I could come up with a record number of questions to keep him for days. Heh heh. Then I would spend some more days convincing him to come back to the dark side so he could sing Darling Nikki in concert again lol
